Applied Bible Study is small-group discipleship that digs deeply into God’s Word to learn, not academic theological concepts, but practical principles that every Christian can use day-in-and-day out.
There are five components of discipleship through Applied Bible Study that I will cover throughout this course. Those components consist of growing in the fruit of the spirit, ministering through brotherly love, appreciating that every Christian is a minister, appreciating that every Christian is a prayer warrior, and practicing with the tools God has provided us in a safe, nurturing, environment.
The secret in all of this is that there is no secret. Nothing in what we will be studying is novel or trendy. It is through the fundamentals of what Christ taught through His ministry 2,000 years ago and through His Word that endures today that we will achieve the purposes of the great commission.
