I am a born-again, water-baptized, spirit-filled servant of Jesus Christ. He is the Lord of my life. He calls me to be holy as He is holy (Lev. 20:7, 1 Peter 1:15-16), to be perfect as my Father in Heaven is perfect (Matt 5:48). I shall submit fully to Jesus’ Lordship over my life:
- I will love and serve the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind (Matt 22:37-38);
- I will seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matt 6:33, John 3:30);
- I will love my neighbor as myself, and I am committed to living a life of service to others (Matt 22:39-40, Matt 10:42-45, 1 Cor. 13:8, Rom 12:21);
- I am committed to living a life conforming to the moral precepts of the Bible and the principles of the “sermon on the mount” (Matt 5:1-7:29);
- I am committed to developing the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23);
- I am committed to attending church (Heb. 10:25);
- I believe in the Holy Trinity and am committed to the ministry and mentoring of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 13:14, Luke 11:13, Eph 4:30, Jude 20);
- I am committed to prayer (1 Thess 5:17, Phil 4:6, Rom 8:26);
- I am committed to study God’s Word (Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, 2 Tim 2:15, 2 Tim 3:16, Heb. 4:12, Heb. 5:11-14, Rom 10:17, Rom 12:12, Josh 1:8, Ps. 1:1-3);
- I am committed to the power of God, the word of faith, healing, and the gifts of the Spirit (Mark 11:23-24, 1 Cor. 4:20, Acts 10:38, 1 Cor 12, 2 Tim 3:5);
- I will never neglect the ministry gifts with which God has endowed me—prophetic teaching of the Word, ministering in the Holy Ghost and prayer, and counseling—I am committed to “stirring up the gift” that is within me (1 Tim 4:14, 2 Tim 1:6); and
- I will give extravagantly, generously, and cheerfully to support (a) the propagation of the Gospel throughout the world, (b) the work of ministries, and (c) the needs of others (Deut 8:18, Mal. 3:8-12, Luke 6:38, 2 Cor. 9:6-10, Gal. 6:7).
