Deep, abiding joy comes from spiritual things!

A depiction of a person with a free spirit traveling; their soul is on a journey. They're soaring through the sky as if they're on wings. The sky is painted with hues of sunset, and they seem to be roaming freely, embodying the essence of liberation and adventure.

In verse 3 of III John, the Elder states “For I rejoiced greatly, when the brothers came and testified to the truth you hold, just as you walk in the truth.” He was joyous of Gaius’s spiritual condition. That’s because true joy springs from God’s eternal Word.

There is joy in the Word: Jer 15:16!
There is joy in the Holy Ghost: Ac 13:52, Ro 14:17
There is joy in the hope of the glory of God: Ro 5:2
